Tao is a climate and philanthropy professional with deep experience in grantmaking, program management, and cross-border collaboration.
At the Global Methane Hub (GMH), he supports the development, management, and implementation of the grantmaking portfolio with the Waste and Circular Economy Program Director and team. His role includes overseeing project budgets, strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems, supporting strategy planning, and working closely with grantees, technical experts, and practitioners to advance methane mitigation and circular economy solutions in the waste sector.
Prior to joining GMH, Tao served as senior program associate at Energy Foundation China, where he managed initiatives focused on zero-carbon industrial transitions and green supply chains. With a global outlook rooted in regional expertise, Tao has designed and led cross-border collaborations, creating inclusive platforms that connect policymakers, funders, technical experts, and local stakeholders to drive collective climate action.
Tao holds a master’s degree in international law and sustainable development from the University of Milan and a master’s degree in Sociology of Law from the University of the Basque Country.
