Emily Gould is the Senior Program Operations Associate at the Global Methane Hub, where she leads the planning and execution of high-profile GMH-led and sponsored events around the world, spanning diverse regions and program areas—including Agriculture, Waste, and Energy. Her portfolio also includes funder retreats and events, staff retreats, climate week engagements, and the end-to-end management of GMH’s pavilion at the UNFCCC COP—guiding every stage from contract negotiation to onsite delivery. As a strategic partner across teams, Emily manages complex logistics, international vendor coordination, travel arrangements, and participant engagement to deliver seamless, high-impact experiences that advance the Hub’s mission.
Beyond event execution, Emily designs post-event evaluation frameworks, standardizes organizational best practices, and implements innovative operational systems that strengthen engagement, efficiency, and GMH’s global reach.
Emily’s career is rooted in environmental stewardship and operational leadership. Before joining GMH, she optimized operational systems on the U.S.–Mexico border as Manager of the National Butterfly Center, a 100-acre wildlife preserve. She has contributed to conservation efforts for the world’s most trafficked mammal—the white-bellied pangolin—at the Gladys Porter Zoo, and previously directed STEM-based school programs for girls from underrepresented communities at Girlstart. As an AmeriCorps member with Our City Forest, she coordinated community engagement initiatives and supported the development of urban green spaces.
At The University of Texas, Emily conducted research on Venezuelan parrotlet vocal development and the concentration of microplastic pollution around South Padre Island. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Biology.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her two cats.
