Elise serves the Global Methane Hub (GMH) as the chief of staff and operations. With experience in government and nonprofits, she builds the systems, processes, and culture to translate vision and strategy into reality while managing day-to-day operations in a complex, global environment.
Elise joined GMH from Stone Barns Center, a research farm and educational center, where she served as chief of staff. Previously, she was the director, executive programs at the United Nations Foundation, where she managed the board of directors and oversaw strategic planning and execution of international experiential learning trips, connecting donors, lawmakers, and on the ground changemakers to strengthen public-private partnerships and mobilize resources in support of the United Nations.
She began her career as a diplomat with the U.S. State Department, serving overseas tours in Indonesia, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Iraq and in the Executive Secretariat in Washington, D.C., advancing travel and managing briefing materials for the Secretary of State.
Elise received her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and her bachelor’s degree in French and international studies from Hope College. She enjoys traveling, reading, sports, and wine.
