D’Seanté Parks

D’Seanté leads communications at the Global Methane Hub (GMH), shaping international narratives and strategic communications efforts to accelerate methane mitigation worldwide. She has more than a decade of experience in strategic communications and political strategy across the public, private, and philanthropic sectors.

As a communications strategist and civic entrepreneur passionate about strengthening democratic participation, she founded 1000 MORE, a patented civic empowerment app designed to modernize how constituents engage with legislation and elected officials by making politics more transparent and accessible.

Before entering the philanthropic sector, D’Seanté worked on federal, state, and local political campaigns, including U.S. Senate campaigns for Mary Landrieu and Kamala Harris.

She earned a master’s in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she was a Belfer Young Leaders Fellow, and a bachelor’s degree in political communication from Louisiana State University. Her writing and research have contributed to published work examining the roots of propaganda in the United States and strategies for combating misinformation.

She is a member of several highly regarded global fellowships, including Echoing Green and Atlantik-Brücke, and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

She was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Her family is from Shreveport, Louisiana, and she lives in New Orleans.
