Feike brings more than 20 years of experience as Legal Counsel, Head of Legal, and General Counsel across the private sector and philanthropy. A self-described generalist, lawyer, and leader, his interests and expertise extend well beyond traditional legal matters to include integrity, governance, leadership, and organizational culture.
Prior to joining the Global Methane Hub, Feike served as General Counsel at the IKEA Foundation, one of Europe’s leading philanthropic organizations, where he led the legal department. He joined the Global Methane Hub in January 2026 as Head of Legal and Compliance.
Feike holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Civil Law and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Japanese Language and Culture, both from Leiden University. He lives in Leiden, the Netherlands.
Deeply committed to preserving the planet for future generations, Feike is also passionate about music and guitars—and can occasionally be found performing on stage on weekends.
