Vidvatta Sharma

Vidvatta is a climate policy professional with over eight years of experience working at the intersection of climate action, food systems, and development across Asia. 

At the Global Methane Hub (GMH), she serves as the regional associate for Asia and supports the effective delivery of the organization’s regional approach, helping translate its theory of change into on-ground impact. Her role spans grant design and management, as well as strategic engagements with policymakers, civil society organizations, development finance banks, and other partners across the region to advance action on methane mitigation. 

Previously, in her role as a senior program manager at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, Vidvatta co-developed and helped lead the Sustainable Agriculture and Land Use program, advancing climate-resilient agricultural approaches through policy research, strategic philanthropy, and cross-sector collaboration. She also served as policy specialist at the Good Food Institute India, working on advancing plant-based proteins as a climate-resilient solution aligned with national priorities on farmer welfare, nutrition security, and green growth.

She is particularly interested in how evidence-based research, strategic partnerships, and public institutions can work together to drive durable climate solutions. 

Outside of work, Vidvatta enjoys reading, spending time at the pottery studio, exploring new places around the world, and being with her family. She is based in New Delhi, India.
