Diane Para

Diane serves as the primary point of contact for Marcelo Mena, CEO of the Global Methane Hub (GMH), and Elise Edwards, the chief of staff and operations.

Recognizing that climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, Diane joined GMH’s international team because she feels most at home at the intersection of diverse stakeholders coming together to advance solutions. A facilitator with a background in building multi-sector partnerships, Diane enjoys connecting people with the resources they need and fostering creative collaboration based on mutual respect. She values each individual’s unique talents and contributions and believes that this diversity brings the strength needed in this moment.

A former entrepreneur and management consultant, Diane spent nine years working in emergency response, humanitarian aid, and donor stewardship—building bridges and creating partnerships to pool resources and find solutions to fill unmet needs. An experienced administrator, she enjoys bringing order to chaos and leaving a positive impact wherever she goes.

Diane has a degree in English from the University of Chicago. Having lived in many countries and grown up in an international community, she carries her sense of home wherever life takes her. Her home today is in France with her partner, Jean. She appreciates art, music, and the beauty of nature and loves gathering around a shared table with friends, both old and new.
