Kofi Boateng, Ph.D.

Kofi is a sustainable agricultural development professional with work spanning across field research, extension, and policy.

At the Global Methane Hub (GMH), Kofi leads the rice program, which sits within the broader agriculture portfolio. His work involves identifying and developing global partnerships to deliver solutions that reduce rice emissions, while simultaneously enhancing farmer productivity and resilience.

Before joining GMH, Kofi worked for a combined period of twelve years with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in Ghana.

He holds a Ph.D in Agro-environmental Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology-Kumasi.

Kofi is a football fan and Liverpool FC is his favorite team. He is based in Kumasi, Ghana.
