Jorge Pinaud

Jorge brings a unique, holistic perspective to financial management – bridging the gap between organizational behavior, financial efficiency, and global climate action.

At the Global Methane Hub (GMH), Jorge is the budget manager and leads the strategic financial planning and budget execution for the organization’s ambitious goal of mobilizing resources for global methane mitigation. He orchestrates the budget cycle across GMH’s core sectors – agriculture, energy, and waste – and partners closely with all the teams and program directors. By balancing top-down strategic allocations with bottom-up programmatic needs, Jorge ensures that GMH maximizes its on-the-ground impact while maintaining a highly efficient operational model.

He has been a core member of GMH since the fourth month of its operations. Previously serving as the finance and administrative associate, he was instrumental in building the organization’s foundational financial system and administrating the Hub. Before dedicating his career to the climate space, his diverse background included roles in commercial banking, data analytics administration, and the founding and management of several start-ups.

Jorge has a degree in business administration and a masters in organizational psychology from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

In his free time, you can find him playing sports, enjoying a movie, playing a video game, or getting together with friends. He deeply values quality moments spent with family and loved ones. Above all, he finds deep rest and connection from the outdoors. Jorge is based in Santiago, Chile.
