Gloria Kebirungi

Gloria is an international development professional with over eight years of experience spanning global health, education, and private sector advisory.

At the Global Methane Hub (GMH), she serves as senior associate on the energy team, where she manages a portfolio of grants focused on energy sector (oil and gas, coal) methane mitigation. Her work spans the full grant lifecycle, from pipeline management, proposal review, and budget oversight, to monitoring, reporting, and strategic alignment. She works closely with the Africa lead on Africa-focused grants and supports the program director on global and North American initiatives. She also synthesizes insights across the portfolio to support funding decisions, identifies gaps and opportunities for greater impact, and builds the systems and processes that help the team’s work scale and sustain.

Prior to joining GMH, Gloria served as a global health consultant at the World Bank Group, where she managed strategic projects within the Gavi Vaccine Alliance partnership, contributing to COVID-19 vaccine (COVAX) financing initiatives, and helping shape the Bank’s pandemic response. Beyond global health, her background includes supporting literacy campaigns in the education sector across developing countries, as well as private sector advisory work with small and midsize enterprises in East Africa, focused on capital raising and investor linkages.

Gloria holds a master’s degree in International Economics and Political Economy from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Colgate University. 

Outside of work, she is an avid music lover, vlog watcher, and restaurant explorer. She is currently based in Kampala, Uganda.
