Vidvatta is a climate policy professional with over five years of experience in policy research, program design, and stakeholder engagement. She most recently served as Policy Specialist at the Good Food Institute India, leading efforts to position alternative proteins as a climate-smart solution aligned with national goals on farmer welfare, nutrition security, and green growth. Her work integrated scientific research, innovation, and policy advocacy.
Previously, Vidvatta was part of Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, where she co-developed and led the Sustainable Agriculture and Land Use program. In this role, she advanced climate-resilient agricultural solutions through policy-relevant research, strategic grantmaking, and collaborative partnerships with government, academia, and civil society. She also worked closely on civil society capacity building initiatives, cross-program coordination and donor engagement to ensure alignment with the foundation’s broader climate and development goals.
Vidvatta holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Delhi and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at O.P. Jindal Global University, with a focus on climate policy and economic development.
